THE ABIDJAN PORT AUTHORITY TAKES PART IN THE 2025 EDITION OF THE CGECI ACADEMY

The 13th edition of the CGECI Academy, the flagship gathering of Côte d’Ivoire’s private sector, opened on Monday, September 29, 2025, at the Sofitel Abidjan Hôtel Ivoire, under the chairmanship of the Prime Minister, Head of Government, Minister of Sports and Living Environment, H.E. Robert Beugré Mambé.

Held under the theme “Economic Sovereignty: Time for Action,” this edition brought together business and political leaders from around fifteen countries for panels, roundtables, and B2B meetings. Discussions focused on major issues such as financing, industrialization, innovation, energy, agribusiness, health, natural resources, and human capital.

As a key player in international trade and Côte d’Ivoire’s economic development, the Port of Abidjan took this opportunity to highlight its leading role in driving both national and regional growth. As West Africa’s leading logistics hub, the port has, in recent years, undertaken major modernization works — including the commissioning of the second container terminal (TC2), the opening of the Grain Terminal, and the development of new specialized infrastructures — to strengthen supply chain competitiveness, ensure smooth trade flows, and support regional economic integration.

Through its participation in this prestigious event, the Abidjan Port Authority (PAA) reaffirms its commitment to supporting both national and international economic operators by providing them with a modern, efficient, and secure port environment adapted to the new challenges of global trade.
