COUNTRY RISK CONFERENCE CÔTE D’IVOIRE 2026 : PAA REAFFIRMS ITS COMMITMENT ALONGSIDE BLOOMFIELD INVESTMENT CORPORATION

The 10th edition of the Côte d’Ivoire Country Risk Conference (CRP) 2026, organized by the pan-African financial rating agency Bloomfield Investment Corporation, was held on Thursday, April 30, 2026, at the Sofitel Abidjan Hôtel Ivoire. This landmark event brought together government authorities, public and private sector stakeholders, policymakers, and international experts around the major economic dynamics of the country.

A loyal partner of this event, which has become a genuine strategic decision-making tool, the Abidjan Port Authority (PAA) once again distinguished itself through its presence. As the backbone of the national economy and a major logistics hub in West Africa, the Abidjan Port constitutes a key indicator of the vitality of trade flows and Ivorian economic growth. The participation of  PAA reflects the decisive role of port infrastructure in strengthening the country’s attractiveness and competitiveness.

This 2026 edition focused on four major issues: providing reliable macroeconomic and financial analyses to guide investments, strengthening synergy between public and private stakeholders, anticipating political, social, and security risks, and promoting local solutions in support of inclusive and sustainable growth.

Among the highlights was the panel entitled: “How  African countries, including Côte d’Ivoire, are positioning themselves amid the ongoing global geopolitical and economic transformation?” Panelists examined the strategic positioning of the continent in the face of global geopolitical shifts, highlighting opportunities linked to regional integration, structural economic transformation, and improved governance. The discussions featured leading figures, notably Messrs. Hien Yacouba SIÉ, Minister of Infrastructure and Road Maintenance, Stanislas ZÉZÉ, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Bloomfield Group, and Charles KIÉ, CEO of Genesis Group.

In his address, the Minister highlighted Côte d’Ivoire’s sustained efforts in infrastructure development, particularly in the port, road, and logistics sectors. He stressed that these structuring investments undertaken by the Ivorian State significantly contribute to strengthening the country’s competitiveness and attracting increased investment flows, citing as an example the remarkable performance of the Abidjan Port despite a sub-regional and international context marked by persistent crises.

The discussions highlighted the need for African countries to adopt strategies adapted to new global realities, particularly in terms of economic diversification, industrialization, and regional integration.

During the conference, Mr. Stanislas ZÉZÉ presented the 2026 Côte d’Ivoire Country Risk Report. This strategic document provides a detailed mapping of investment risks and opportunities by assessing the country’s competitiveness, resilience, and attractiveness. It reveals that Côte d’Ivoire ranks among moderate-risk countries, with a score of 6.5 in 2026 and outlooks considered stable.

The financial strength of the Abidjan Port Authority has been recognized for several years by Bloomfield Investment Corporation, which assigned it the excellent ratings of “AA” in the long term and “A1” in the short term, with stable outlooks for the period from September 2025 to August 2026. These performances confirm the PAA’s sound management, resilience, and capacity to continue its structuring investments.

Through this renewed partnership with Bloomfield Investment Corporation for the 10th edition of the CRP, the Abidjan Port Authority reaffirms its commitment to supporting initiatives aimed at strengthening economic transparency, financial credibility, and Côte d’Ivoire’s attractiveness on the international stage, thereby consolidating its position as a logistics engine and strategic lever for national development.
