ABIDJAN PORT AUTHORITY RENEWS ITS FINANCIAL RATING : A SOLID FOUNDATION THAT INSPIRES CONFIDENCE

Abidjan Port Authority has reached a new milestone in strengthening its financial credibility.

The pan-African rating agency Bloomfield Investment Corporation has renewed its confidence by awarding PAA excellent ratings of “AA” in the long term and “A1” in the short term, with stable outlooks. Valid from September 2025 to August 2026, these ratings confirm the Port of Abidjan’s sound financial health, the rigor of its management, and its ability to continue implementing its structuring investment programs with confidence.

They also reflect the institution’s strong operational performance, with total traffic exceeding 40 million tonnes in 2024, thereby consolidating its position as a leading port in West Africa.

Since 2011, under the vision of the President of the Republic, His Excellency Mr. Alassane Ouattara, and the strategy led by the Managing Director of PAA, Mr. Hien Yacouba Sié, the port has undergone a profound transformation:

·              modernization of infrastructure,

·              optimization of operations,

·              continuous improvement of security,

·              strengthening of competitiveness.

These levers have enabled sustainable improvements in the Port of Abidjan’s financial and operational performance.

The PAA’s financial stability confirms its resilience and its capacity to maintain a trajectory of sustainable development.
