Mr. Hien Yacouba SIE, Managing Director of the Abidjan Port Authority, held on this day, a meeting with the consignees, the handling and stevedoring companies of the Abidjan Port.
The talks were about sanitation at the port facilities (berths, open storage yards, bonded warehouses) and port warehousing requirements. Mr. Hien Yacouba SIE pointed that the meeting which was focused on the topic “Sanitation of Bonded Area Handling Space, and New Sanitation Royalties,” was set in the management of the bonded area in compliance with Quality, Safety, Environment and Sustainable Development standards.
On this occasion, the Port Authority asked all the business actors to be more involved in keeping clean and well-maintained facilities where goods were loaded and unloaded. He also recommended the consignees, the handling and stevedoring companies of the Abidjan Port to have an increased vigilance regarding environmental protection.
