PAA AND SEA-INVEST/TVA REVIEW DEVELOPMENT PROSPECTS FOR BULK CARGO AND LOGISTICS ACTIVITIES
The Managing Director of the Abidjan Port Authority (PAA), Mr. Kassoum TRAORÉ, received in audience, on Thursday, June 4, 2026, a delegation from SEA-INVEST/TVA led by its Chief Executive Officer, Mrs. Myriam OUASSENAN, accompanied by several company executives.
The delegation included Mr. Massah BENGALY, Chief Executive Officer of Petro-Sea Logistics, Mr. David SPEE, Director of Operations and Technical Services, Mr. Jean Jacob KAMALAN, Legal Manager, and Mr. Nathanaël KONANDRI, Secretary General.
This courtesy visit provided SEA-INVEST/TVA officials with an opportunity to extend their warm congratulations to Mr. Kassoum TRAORÉ following his appointment as head of the Abidjan Port Authority. They welcomed the appointment of an executive from within the institution, emphasizing that such a promotion represents a major asset in ensuring the continuity of strategic projects and the pursuit of the modernization momentum underway across the port platform.
The discussions also focused on SEA-INVEST/TVA’s activities, particularly the operation of the Bulk Terminal and the oil logistics base. The delegation presented the development prospects for its operations as well as some concerns related to the continuous improvement of the performance and competitiveness of its facilities.
In response, the Managing Director of PAA reaffirmed his commitment to maintaining constructive and continuous dialogue with all stakeholders operating within the port community. He stressed that consultation remains an essential lever for identifying sustainable solutions to operational challenges and effectively supporting the growth of port activities.
Mr. Kassoum TRAORÉ also recalled that the development of economic operators is a strategic priority for strengthening the competitiveness of the Port of Abidjan, the main driver of trade flows in Côte d’Ivoire and the sub-region. He reiterated the Abidjan Port Authority’s determination to continue its efforts toward fostering a high-performing, attractive, and investment-friendly port environment.
