As part of its governance framework and the protection of its information systems, Abidjan Port Authority has, over the past few years, engaged in an Information Security Management approach, culminating in the achievement of ISO/IEC 27001:2022 certification on December 18, 2023.

What is the ISO 27001 standard?

ISO 27001 is the international reference standard for information security management.

It defines a set of requirements, best practices and controls designed to protect data against all forms of threats, including cyberattacks, loss, alteration, unauthorized access and business interruptions.

Why this certification?

This certification addresses several strategic objectives:

·              strengthening the confidence of partners, clients and users of the Port of Abidjan;

·              ensuring continuity of port operations, even in the face of cyber risks;

·              protecting sensitive data in a global context where cybersecurity has become imperative;

·              aligning the Port of Abidjan’s practices with international standards, consistent with its positioning as a sub-regional maritime hub.
