ABIDJAN PORT AUTHORITY REAFFIRMS ITS SUPPORT FOR FEMUA

As part of strengthening the collaboration between the Abidjan Port Authority (PAA) and the Anoumabo Urban Music Festival (FEMUA), the Managing Director of PAA, Mr. Hien Yacouba SIÉ, received Mr. Salif TRAORÉ, also known as “Asalfo,” on Thursday, March 6, 2025. Mr. TRAORÉ is the Commissioner General of FEMUA and head of Gaou Production.

This meeting was held in preparation for the 17th edition of FEMUA, scheduled from April 15 to 20, 2025, in Abidjan and Daloa, under the theme "Civic Responsibility and Road Safety."

Taking advantage of the occasion, Mr. TRAORÉ expressed his gratitude to the Port Authority for its continued support as a long-standing sponsor of the festival, and reaffirmed his group’s desire to maintain this collaboration. He also commended Mr. Hien SIÉ for his commitment to promoting Ivorian culture.

Mr. SIÉ expressed his satisfaction with the sustainability and success of FEMUA, which has gained widespread recognition. While encouraging the promoters to continue highlighting Ivorian musical culture, he praised Mr. TRAORÉ’s leadership and dedication to promoting Ivorian music on the global stage. According to him, FEMUA is an important cultural showcase for Côte d’Ivoire. This is why PAA, in line with its social responsibility policy, intends to continue supporting this commendable initiative.

It is worth noting that FEMUA, beyond being a music festival, also includes social and charitable initiatives such as building schools and infrastructure for local communities.
