THE ABIDJAN PORT AUTHORITY AND LAFARGEHOLCIM DISCUSS PROSPECTS FOR STRENGTHENING THEIR PARTNERSHIP

The Managing Director of the Abidjan Port Authority (PAA), Mr. Kassoum TRAORE, received, on Friday, July 10, 2026, a delegation from LafargeHolcim Côte d’Ivoire led by its Director General, Mr. Rachid YOUSRI.

The meeting was aimed at introducing Mr. Rajesh SURANA, LafargeHolcim’s newly appointed Managing Director for the West Africa Cluster, to the Managing Director of PAA. It also provided an opportunity for both parties to discuss prospects for cooperation between PAA and LafargeHolcim Côte d’Ivoire, as well as logistics challenges and development opportunities associated with the Group’s activities.

The discussions also addressed LafargeHolcim’s development projects and the conditions that could support their implementation.

On this occasion, the Managing Director of PAA welcomed the strong partnership maintained with LafargeHolcim Côte d’Ivoire and reaffirmed the Abidjan Port Authority’s willingness to support economic operators in their development projects, thereby contributing to the competitiveness of the national logistics chain.

It is worth noting that LafargeHolcim is a member of the Association of Cement Producers of Côte d’Ivoire (APCCI), established in September 2015 and chaired by Mr. Rachid YOUSRI.
