THE ABIDJAN PORT AUTHORITY AND AGL REAFFIRM THEIR STRATEGIC PARTNERSHIP IN SUPPORT OF PORT PERFORMANCE

The Managing Director of the Abidjan Port Authority (PAA), Mr. Kassoum TRAORÉ, received the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Africa Global Logistics (AGL), Mr. Philippe LABONNE, on Thursday, July 2, 2026. He was accompanied by a delegation that included, among others, Ms. Asta-Rosa CISSÉ, Regional Director of AGL Côte d’Ivoire.

This working meeting provided an opportunity for both institutions to reaffirm their strategic partnership and their shared commitment to continuing their cooperation in support of the development of the Port of Abidjan.

On this occasion, the Managing Director of PAA commended AGL’s contribution to the development of the Port of Abidjan and its role in enhancing the performance of the logistics chain. He also emphasized the importance of this collaboration in strengthening the competitiveness of the port platform.

Taking the floor, Mr. Philippe LABONNE reaffirmed AGL’s commitment to supporting the development momentum initiated by the Abidjan Port Authority. He praised the progress achieved by the port platform in recent years, which has strengthened its position among the leading logistics hubs in the sub-region.

Discussions focused on prospects for further strengthening cooperation between the two institutions, as well as on initiatives that could sustainably support the performance, competitiveness, and attractiveness of the Port of Abidjan.

At the conclusion of the meeting, Mr. Kassoum TRAORÉ welcomed the convergence of views between the two parties and reaffirmed the Abidjan Port Authority’s availability to continue this strategic partnership in support of Côte d’Ivoire’s economic development.

This audience reflects the shared determination of the Abidjan Port Authority and AGL to consolidate a long-term cooperation framework that will further enhance the visibility and competitiveness of the Port of Abidjan on the regional maritime and logistics scene.
