THE US DEFENCE ATTACHE TO COTE D’IVOIRE RECEIVED BY THE PORT AUTHORITY

On Tuesday 03 August 2021, Mr. Hien Yacouba SIE, Managing Director of Abidjan Port Authority granted an audience to Lieutenant Colonel Dean P. Allen, US Defence Attaché to Cote d’Ivoire.

It was important for the American Officer, three months after taking office in Cote d’Ivoire, to present his respects to the officials of Abidjan Port Authority which is a very strategic infrastructure. After their exchanges, Lieutenant Colonel Dean P. Allen which was accompanied by Major Andrew M. HASCHER, the American Army Attaché toured the Abidjan Port facilities, and got impregnated with its capacity to accommodate warships.

It should be recalled that Abidjan Port has been carrying out very close cooperative relations with the American Coast Guards as part of the implementation of the ISPS Code standards which certify the safety compliance of the port facilities.
