ABIDJAN PORT AUTHORITY IN PARTNERSHIP WITH THE 15TH EDITION OF FEMUA
The launching ceremony of the 15th edition of Anoumabo’s Urban Music Festival (FEMUA) took place on Thursday 16 February 2023 at « la salle des fêtes du Sofitel Hotel d’Ivoire d’Abidjan » in the presence of Mrs Dominique OUATTARA, First Lady of the Republic of Côte d’Ivoire, sponsor of the event.
Abidjan Port Authority, a traditional partner of this festival was represented at this colourful ceremony by Mr. Macky SANGARE, Director of Digital Information System and Mr. Magloire Assi ACHY, Director of Control, Audit and Quality Management. They expressed the interest taken by Mr. Hien Yacouba SIE, Managing Director in this cultural event, which for several years, has been working for the promotion of Côte d’Ivoire.
Before releasing the program of the 15th edition, Mr Salif TRAORE known as Asalfo thanked the First Lady for her continued support and the Government also for their contribution to the expansion of the Ivorian culture.
Thereafter, he expressed his gratitude to all the sponsors of which Abidjan Port Authority for its renewed trust.
This far-reaching music festival will take place from 25 to 30 april 2023 in the cities of Abidjan and Bouake, under the central theme of « Food Security and sustainable Agriculture ». This theme will be at the heart of all the activities which will fill these days, namely conferences and panels, workshops, training and B2B meetings in order to share experience with the young people.
Since the 10th edition of this culturel event , the choice of a second town of the country has been made to jointly host the festivities with Abidjan, the economic capital. It is a strategical initiative to decentralize the festival so as to promote, and contribute to the economic and social development of the various sub-regions of Côte d’Ivoire.
Morever, each edition of the festival is dedicated to a country. This year, Togo has been chosen for its excellent mediation for the release of the 49 Ivorian soldiers held in prison in Mali. According to the organizing committee. It is a way of expressing gratitude to His Excellency Faure GNASSINGBE, Head of the State and highlighting the cultural and gastronomic treasures of this country.
